In fact autorun.inf file is not a virus, this file is used by the system to do autorun operations from the CD or USB flash disk. some products CDs contains this file to automatically run the welcome form which gives you some options about the product such as install ..etc, but the bad use of this file is in running viruses from the USB flash disk or CD which attacks you computer and infect it, to protect your computer from this attacks I advice you to use Download USB Disk Security
which prvent USB viruses autorun and remove them just when you plug a USB flash disk.
